Build Your Software Idea.
You don't need to be a technology company
We work with businesses of all shapes and sizes who want to build software.
You already have:
- An idea rooted in real industry knowledge
- A clear understanding of customer problems
- Relationships, contracts or a route to market
- The commercial insight to know what matters
bytecrafters brings:
- An experienced engineering team
- Technical discovery and architecture design
- Challenge, clarity and practical delivery
- Production-ready software built to launch
Built something with AI?
AI has made it easier than ever to turn an idea into an early prototype.
That's useful.
But a prototype that demonstrates an idea isn't always the same thing as software that's ready for customers.
We can take what you've already built, understand how it works and help turn it into a maintainable production application.
And if starting again makes more sense, we'll tell you.
How we work
Our process is engineering-led, but plain-spoken. We look at how the software will be used, what it connects to, how it can fail, and how it will be maintained before deciding what to build.
FAQs
Answers to common questions will appear here soon.
What platforms and technologies do you work with?
We work with a wide range of modern technologies, frameworks and infrastructure. We specialise in building applications from the ground up, choosing the right tools for the job and keeping reliance on off-the-shelf solutions to a minimum where it makes sense.
How long does a project take?
Every project is different, so we'll agree a realistic timeline once we understand what needs to be built. Turning an existing spreadsheet or manual process into a simple web application might take around eight weeks, while a larger or more complex application could require many months, or even a year or more, of ongoing development.
Can you integrate with other systems?
Yes. If the system provides an API or another supported way for software to communicate with it, we can usually integrate it into your application. This could include accounting platforms, CRMs, payment providers, Microsoft services and other business systems.
What happens after launch?
That's up to you. We can train your team, hand over access to the infrastructure, source code and assets, and provide the documentation and playbooks needed to support the software yourselves. Alternatively, you can move onto one of our BC on Demand retained support plans, where we continue maintaining, supporting and improving the software over the longer term.
Can you host our software or web application?
We don't host customer applications on bytecrafters-owned infrastructure. Instead, we'll set up the infrastructure in an account that you own and control. That could be anything from a simple virtual server through to a more comprehensive cloud environment using providers such as AWS or Microsoft Azure. This means you retain ownership and control of the infrastructure your software depends on.
